Andy: It was the first time I've worked with you guys. I actually came to site and you were actually doing the full production of someone's wedding. And it was just from the start to the end, how you dealt with it, your client, and the actual wedding itself and how... you were very caring about it and were making sure everything was on key. And it was one of those ones where you just thought, "It's a no-brainer. Those guys definitely have to be at my wedding." Andy: So what set Metropolis apart from most other people I've ever worked with is that, the way they actually just came together and actually formed the evening. It was more about the actual— The band themselves, they just have a set of presence on the stage. They could just do any song on request. They're easy to work with and nothing's too much hassle. I have worked with a lot of them, but Metropolis just shone out to me, and I can’t really explain why. (laughs) Just cause they… You know, you knew that they had everything covered. Andy: So I’ve worked with them once before and saw them as … “That’s the band I really want at my wedding.” Vicky: You’ve always said that… Andy: Yes I have always said that! Vicky: Yeah… When we were planning the wedding and everything, you’ve always said, “I know the band that I want.” Andy: Yes, that’s very true. Vicky: I didn’t have any concerns at all. He’d always said from the off that he knew the band he wanted and… We looked at a couple others as well. I just saw a few clips [of Metropolis] and went…… “These guys! These guys here. That’s who we want.” Vicky: We were really impressed with what we saw and heard more importantly. 'Cause it was really all tight and really on point. It was great. Andy: And obviously my previous work with the production and everything— It know all the sound side of things and all those bits and pieces… But it’s just nice to have a one-stop shop where you don’t have to worry about anything. They’ll just come in, do everything for you, and the music quality is absolutely incredible. Andy: There were guests at the wedding that were in the [events] industry… One does a lot of corporate events, and goes abroad. And he uses quite a lot of function bands and he was blown away by Metropolis. Basically just… you know, how it all ran, how it’s all professional, how the singer had basically the whole dance floor at the palm of his hand. And it’s just… the whole flow. I’ve been away with him a few times and seen some of the function bands that they used. And they get away with it and do it kind of badly, I think, from personal experiences. But yeah, the guys who came to see this who do that were blow away by it all, and just thought it was just really really well done. Andy: I was very confident that Metropolis would deliver our vision straight away. I mean, there was a few emails back to back just to confirm times, but there was never any questions of, you know, “What’s happening here? What’s happening there?” It was just complete trust to let you get on with the day, really.
